Venues

We take great pride in selecting some of the most spectacular and peaceful locations for our retreats, workshops and training venues. Below we list a number of the current and past locations.

Each of our destinations enjoys a unique location and special environment in which to practice yoga. A guest recently described the Thailand holiday as " the most luxurious holiday he had ever had, even though there is no running water or electricity on the floating bamboo village!" Simon Low prides himself on choosing the best possible venues for you to enjoy the most sumptuous and rewarding holiday. While there is a deep focus on the yoga activities, retreats are not presented as total immersion yoga retreats. The real holiday feel and benefits will be enormously enhanced by the yoga practice.

JungleYoga Khao KHAO SOK, THAILAND

Khao Sok Lake is one of the most spectacular destinations in Thailand, if not the world.

The lake offers sensational lake and cliff vistas, with swimming, snorkelling and kayaking The primary rainforest supports an extraordinary range of wildlife including endangered species such as hornbills and gibbons. The pristine moist evergreen forest abounds with wildlife and fascinating plants. The park provides an adventure for botanists, environmentalists, naturalists and anyone interested in exploring plant and wildlife in a rainforest. The mountains in the park are intersected by a range of limestone karsts (tall cliff-like formations, some nearly 1000 metres), leftovers of a coral reef system that stretched across the seas of South-East Asia millions of years ago.

The yoga shala is a floating structure 14 x 18 meters, with a large open deck space outside which can be utilised for open air practice.

Huzur Vadisi

Set among fig and olive groves Huzur Vadisi is in the region of South West Turkey known as Lycia. The aptly named Huzur Vadisi or ‘peaceful valley’, is situated in a secluded mountain region a few miles away from the beautiful & unspoiled Mediterranean coastline and local marina town of Gocek. The centre is based around the original restored farmhouse. There are hammocks hanging enticingly between the trees, a beautiful natural stone swimming pool and a traditional wooden ‘kosk’ or tree/summerhouse, which is a favourite place for siestas and evening gatherings. Huzur Vadisi offers stunning scenery, clear night skies, great walking in the pine forest to spectacular view points and exceptionally warm hospitality in a very peaceful environment.

Sleeping accommodation is in traditional nomadic yurts. These are circular wooden framed permanent ‘tents’, which are very comfortable, spacious & equipped with 'proper' beds, electricity, fans and have wooden floors. NB: availability of single accommodation is always limited and dependent on group numbers.

NEW FOR 2021 - The owner's house is also available to rent this year, including a car to get about in. This is a traditional Turkish village house, with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, central hallway, bathroom and balcony. The house is simple and comfortable with washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning and wifi. As the owner's home it comes with all those little touches that make it a real home from home, and it is ideal for families. The house is a 20 minute walk from Huzur Vadisi, in a secluded location with west-facing views. If you are interested, please contact us on yoga@simonlow.com for more information.
